...
I was at the police station, sobbing quietly. The Police Officer was losing patience with me.
"How did he disappear? Was there anything unusual that you noticed after he disappeared?" Sergeant Mirto asked
"Nooo...he just... disappeared" I dissolved into tears again.
"Okay, is there anything else you can tell me? Mirto asked
"Ye-yes" I stammered. 'Pull yourself together Em,' I thought to myself. I slowed my crying and shakily said "Just before he disappeared he fell to his knees and he looked like he was in pain. He was also shaking his head, and saying something that sounded like 'Morfolla'"
I looked up at the sergeant.
"Morfolla" He whispered " Oh no, he's come back, no, no!"
"Sergeant Mirto?" I said timidly. Mirto went as stiff as a board and as pale as a ghost. He dropped to the ground. He seemed to be having trouble breathing, and when Mirto managed to draw breath, it was long gasping breaths, that shook his whole body. Mirto looked up at me, his face shuddering. "Help me" he managed to whisper. I grabbed my phone and dialled the emergency contact number.. As I pressed the last number, Mirto dropped to the ground, lying on his back and shuddered a long breath one last time. "No" I whispered, shocked and scared. Sergeant Mirto had stopped breathing, but his body writhed around on the floor like a snake. "Police, ambulance or fire brigade?" said a voice in my ear.
"Ambulance" I said, trying not to shake as I answered.
"What address?"
"The Lockwood Police Station"
They hung up just before I collapsed from exhaustion.
